CPS Energy is seeking its first rate increase in more than three years, a boost of between 4 percent and 5 percent in electric and natural gas rates.

CPS chief executive Doyle Beneby said the utility will announce the exact size of the rate increases at its Board of Trustees meeting Wednesday.
